Captain Matt Fitz has been boating since the day he was born. OK, maybe not the first day, but his first trip was at just 10 weeks old.

At age 11, he completed his boating licensing and began independently navigating and fishing the Great South Bay, Long Island Sound, and Atlantic Ocean.

In 2018, he decided to pursue his passion professionally and Neptune Charters was born. Now, Capt. Matt spends as much time as possible sharing his love of the local waterways and deep knowledge of boating and angling with his local community, and beyond.

Capt. Matt is constantly tracking key indicators and scouting locations for all seasonal species so his clients have the best chance to be on the fish, fast. In addition, Capt. Matt also helps other boaters entertain on their own vessels safely, or transport and test drive new purchases with confidence.

For larger parties and deep water trips beyond 40 miles offshore, Capt. Matt also charters Zippy, a 2020 29’ SeaVee center console powered by twin Mercury 300 outboards. This vessel is extremely capable and comfortable, equipped with all the gear necessary to catch any fish in the ocean.
